Director of Public Prosecutions, Sierra Leone- Mr. Sulaiman Ahmad Bah

Mr. Bah joined the Law Officers’ Department, Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice as Temporary State Counsel, on the 31st October, 1994. He rose through the ranks and attained the position of Principal State Counsel in 2007. In May 2011, he was appointed the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions. On the 6th June, 2016, it pleased His Excellency, the President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma to appoint him Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr. Bah holds an LL.B (Honours) Degree from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone and was called to the Bar in September 1994. In 2001, he was awarded the British Chevening Scholarship thus enabling him obtain the LL.M Degree in International Criminal Law from the University of Sussex, UK and in 2009, he became a British Chevening Fellow at the University of Nottingham in Implementing Human Rights Conventions. He is both a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.
