Solicitor General of the Republic of Sierra Leone– Martina Melrose Kroma

 

 

Ms. Martina Melrose Kroma was called to the Bar of England and wales 30 years ago. She’s a member of the Honourable Society of Grays Inn. She is currently the Solicitor of the Republic of Sierra Leone, a position she’s held since 2011. Constitutionally, she serves as the Principal Assistant to the Attorney general and Minister of Justice and Professional Head of the Law Officers’ Department. Prior to her appointment as Solicitor General, Ms. Martina Kroma served the Central Bank of Sierra Leone and the Law Reform Commission as Legal Adviser and Legal Draftsperson, respectively. She had previously served the government law Office in various capacities for 15 years, during which time she trained as a Legislative Draftsperson. Ms. Martina Kroma enjoys working in the Public Sector and believes “ this is where we have the greatest opportunity to make a positive impact of our people.
